The Ministry of Water and Energy has just released statistics for 2016 consumptions which show that the Cameroonian company Tradex holds 19% of the national market share against 16% in 2012.

Tradex becomes the second top national oil distribution company behind the French company Total Cameroun, partner of the Cameroonian company of oil deposits (Société Camerounaise des Dépôts Pétroliers) (18%), and of the Cameroonian equatorial company of lubricants manufacture (20%),

It recalls that Tradex, a national company which obtained its first approval on 23 April 2004 for the distribution of all oil products, currently has a network of 60 operational petrol stations, compared to 175 for Total Cameroun.

Tradex achieved a turnover of XAF 231 billion in 2016, for a projected result at XAF 9 billion. In its industrial distribution network, Tradex sold 145,000 m3 of fuels, 626 tons of lubricants and 4994 metric tons (MT) of gas during the period under review. In terms of its commercial distribution network, the company sold 188,000 m3 of fuel, 581 tonnes of lubricants and 7896 MT of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). In terms of imports, Tradex purchased 72,000 MT of LPG.
