Transport: US Company Proposes Advanced Technology

The Minister of Transport received the Vice President of Oracle in Yaounde on March 3, 2016.

Officials of Oracle, a US-based company with more than 420,000 customers and deployments in more than 145 countries, offering a comprehensive and fully integrated stack of cloud applications, platform services, and engineered systems, have proposed services that can change the face of Cameroon transport companies, especially in the air and railway sub-sectors.

SG Cameroun Still Leader for Banking Credit

As at 31 December 2016, the outstanding loans granted by the Cameroonian subsidiary of the French banking group Société Générale (SG) reached EUR 915 million, approximately XAF 599.3 billion. This figure was revealed in an official report which has just been published by the group, which moreover specified that with this performance, SG Cameroun remains the leader on the banking loan market in the country,


Exchange Rates: Dollar on Steady Rise

The US currency has for some time now remained at XAF 600 up from over XAF 500.

Income earners in dollars in Cameroon have for some time been carrying blissful faces owing to the currency’s steady rise in value. The US currency since September 2015 increased by XAF 100 that is, XAF 600 up from the previous exchange rate of 1 US Dollar to XAF 500.
