The six Courage Awards presented during the March 15, 2022 Women Empowerment Network diner-debate saw a handful of women recognized for key achievements with impact. From various backgrounds and at the helm in different business sectors, the following are stories about courage that were found of tremendous interest by the AmCham Courage Award judging panel, in any order.

An initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cameroon (AmCham), the Women Empowerment network is popularly hailed as a “stitch in time” in arousing popular interest on women’s achievements.
ECONOMY: AmCham Paving the Way for Franchising Opportunities with U.S. Brands
After decades promoting startupping as the only way of starting a business in Central Africa, it is time to begin exploring other ways of doing business that have proven worth their weight in gold elsewhere. As opposed to other forms of partnership (distributorship, licensing, joint venture, etc.), franchising has become seamlessly popular in the United States and elsewhere and the business community have realized just how beneficial and it is to leverage an already existing business model that has proven its worth.
