The ceremony was held at the Best Western Soaho Airport Hotel, Douala, last March 15, a handful of days after celebrating women at the international scale. An initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cameroon (AmCham), the Women Empowerment network is popularly hailed as a “stitch in time” in arousing popular interest on women’s achievements.

On January 26, 2018 AmCham Cameroon president and invitees were honored to welcome to the annual gala, H.E. United States Ambassador to Cameroon, Peter Barlerin and his spouse. Ambassador Barlerin brings a wealth of experience having worked previously in Africa in several capacities. He vowed to support AmCham and also encouraged greater involvement by members of AmCham to strengthen and grow the network. |
