The “Leveraging Cameroon’s Untapped Agribusiness Potentials” luncheon took place last Friday, September 6, 2024, at Le BoJ Restaurant in Douala. In collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Cameroon (AmCham), the United States Department of Agriculture.
(USDA) through its Foreign Agricultural Service addressed 40 business leaders on the opportunities and resources available from the U.S. Government and market.
Representing USDA were keynote speaker Christopher Bielecki (Counselor for Agricultural Affairs), Dr. Ifeanyi E. Orji (Agricultural Marketing Specialist), and Herpin Rochet Jateng (Special Assistant, Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs)
Marie-Paul Matouke, AmCham Delegate to the August 2024 FarmFest Exhibition in Minnesota, also delivered a presentation highlighting opportunities being seized by agro-entrepreneurs from across Africa, which Cameroonian farmers may not be aware of. [Full Story]
Represented by Director Ashley White and Commercial Officer Joanna Djomo, the U.S. Embassy Branch Office’s support was greatly valued.
During the event’s conclusion, more light was shed on local challenges faced by entrepreneurs through an engaging question-and-answer session with the keynote speaker. ©AmCham
