The U.S. Embassy is currently recruiting delegates to the International Franchise Expo (IFE) which will take place on June 2-4, 2022 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York. Both current and prospective franchisees and franchisors will find this workshop invaluable. You’ll spend 3 1/2 hours with a seasoned professional who provides honest, accurate and timely information about franchising. Whether you’re just beginning your research or are close to a buying decision, this workshop will help you understand the pros and cons of owning a franchise business.
Questions will be answered throughout the workshop. Areas to be covered in seminar: Navigating the Buying Process, Best Practices for Start Up Franchisors, How Much Money Can You Make?, How to Finance Your Franchise and Social Media and Franchise Lead Generation. Common Fund for Commodities (CFC)’s Open Call for Proposals
The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) invites applications for financial support from qualifying projects. The CFC can offer a range of financial and technical instruments of support to meet specific needs of SMEs/enterprises, cooperatives, and institutions along the entire commodity value chain in its member countries. All interested SMEs/enterprises/cooperatives/governments are kindly invited to submit qualifying proposals no later than 15 April 2022.
The CFC encourages applications proposing innovative solutions for the commodity sector. These may include new agritech applications, agroforestry, agro-ecology themed innovative productivity practices, regenerative technologies, increased availability of renewable and affordable energy, expanding environmental services, expediting digital and green recovery, adding to the nutrition security, climate friendly practices contributing to biodiversity, preventing deforestation, digitalization, blockchain and other traceability solutions.
Financing can be provided in the form of loans for capital expenditures, working capital or trade finance to invest in productivity and value chain upgrading. Applications should clearly show operational and financial viability, and be economically, socially and environmentally sustainable. Women entrepreneurs are especially encouraged to apply.
